I visited Coco Loco as a guest in 2023 and after being here for 3 days and seeing the “For Sale” sign on the front gate, my mind was dreaming of what life would be like if I lived in Vieques (as most do while they are visiting the Caribbean lol).

I went home and could not stop thinking about it for a week. Something inside said be brave and jump, go for it and try…

So I decided to sell my home and car and see how the market was. Both sold in one day! That was 2 out of 10 things that had to go right, low and behold, the other 8 things happened within the following 30 days!

The adventure of being the new owner of Coco Loco in Vieques, Puerto Rico began! It all happened so fast that I almost got cold feet! True story! #NoRegrets

 Verified We absolutely loved our stay! The Airbnb was spotlessly clean, beautiful, comfortable, and felt very safe. My parents loved it just as much as I did, and it truly felt like a home away from home.The host was so sweet and welcoming. He is on site, so we got the chance to meet him and chat with him a little, which made the stay feel even more personal and special.The backyard was adorable, and we loved the pool area. It was such a nice space to relax and enjoy the house. The kitchen was also very well equipped, making it easy for us to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner during our stay.I would 100% stay here again and already know where I’ll be staying the next time I’m in the area.  Verified Jariel's place was very cozy and felt right like home. His property is very relaxing, it has the homely vibe with wild chickens clucking around and a nice little hide away pool, which felt very relaxing. Jariel was a great host, being very responsive while providing all necessary information and very easy to talk to. I will be most certainly coming back to Coco Loco when in town next time!

 Verified This place is perfect for any couple visiting Vieques. A dinky little stand-alone one bedroom house. With access to a small pool. Hammock in the garden and lovely surroundings. Excellent and responsive service from Jariel. Great communications, with every instruction clear. I highly recommend it.

 Verified Great place. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay this is it. Very well kept. If you’re in a bigger group and want to party you should reconsider because the owner is very firm on the NO noise rule and no pool after 7pm, (when you usually get back from the beach) so you need to keep inside or balcony (balconies are spacious with nice rocking chairs. Easy to get around from there, specially to the nice beaches in the Wildlife Reserve. Yes, I would stay there again…

 Verified abbiamo trascorso dei giorni bellissimi a Coco Loco. alloggio meraviglioso, a due passi dalla spiaggia e da diversi ristoranti lungo mare. abbiamo avuto l’onore di incontrare i cavalli che tutti i giorni vengono a fare visita a Jariel, è stato un sogno. speriamo tanto di tornare in futuro!

 Verified Location is great and it’s really a great value. There are a number of restaurants to choose from (gluten free recommend Placita) couple small grocery stores near by, easy walk to Pirate bio bay tour location. Esparanza Riding Co, etc.. Owner is very responsive and seems to truly want everyone to enjoy their time at Coco Loco. Provides beach towels, chairs, coolers and snorkels for guest use. Fun to see the horses everywhere. A lot of chickens too, they can be pretty loud at night.

 Verified I highly recommend Jariel's place if you are staying one night in Vieques either to explore the island and relax or to explore rhe bioluminiscent bay. Jariel's place is very comfy, clean and cozy. Jariel was very responsive, friendly and had everything you need right at his property for a perfect beach day. Would stay here again if I come to Vieques again. Love the horses and nature roaming the island. Great experience overall.

 Verified We really enjoyed our stay! The bed was very comfortable and the property was beautiful. Lots of cute chickens running around and a beautiful pool. Two blocks from the beach with lots of dining options nearby! A/C was cold and worked well!

 Verified Great place to stay. Amazing property and beautiful location. Would recommend for multi generation families that want to take a joint but private vacation since this property has multiple rentable bnb rooms. Roof access at night was definitely a sight to remember. Coming from a big city it was very calm and private it’s definitely a place i will always remember. Will definitely come again next time.

 Verified Fantastic location!! Amazing stay in great walking distance to beautiful beaches, snorkeling, restaurants/bars, and attractions. Spent an afternoon in the backyard lounging by the pool, even with fellow guests it felt super private. Apartment was much bigger than I anticipated too. Very pleased, thanks for hosting!

Jariel also maintained communication throughout the check-in, making it a quick and easy process! The pricing was amazing for the area, and offered great value for the quality of the stay. The location was also great, super convenient especially for our bio bay tour. Easy to get around, and close to everything we needed.I would absolutely recommend to friends and family, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.  Verified Our stay in Esperanza was fantastic. After the first day, we were already saying we’d love to come back. Everything we needed was available: great restaurants nearby, beautiful beaches everywhere, and Jariel’s recommendations were spot‑on and really helpful.
